Pam~So many days I went to your journal to check on you nothing... until Kathy emailed me about your sister, Nancy and the Yahoo group. I didn't want to fill up your mailbox with another email inquiry. Dear Kathy posted updates on how you were on her journal so we all could know. Seeing your photos is like seeing a miracle. There is Pam, peering out with the same sweet smile and quizzical eyes under all the bandages and tubes. So many people have prayed for you and it is amazing...out of the darkness, there is your tiny face smiling, the answer!! I don't live far from you and often felt there were angels flying overhead sent from all the prayers to protect and heal and send prayers on up. I think of your children and how happy you all must be. Two more months of cessation has gone by as well since the last post in your journal and I just know you have licked your addiction. Yay!! God bless you, Pam and your family.

Welcome home, Pam!

Seeing these pictures, I know you will enjoy this story:

After my twins were born by a c-section after 18 hours of labor, my husband was taking a series of mother-sons photos, and I said, "Oh let me take off my glasses."  Vanity endureth forever and ever, overcoming surgery, major drugs, etc., etc.  And as you can imagine, I looked positively radiant.  NOT.

So I have all these photos of this strange woman holding 2 babies who looks like she's been beaten up in a dark alley, glasses dangling from her fingers to ensure that her beauty remains unmarred.

You, however. look great, girl, and if your sense of humor is intact, then so are you!

Pam, you don't know me.  I forget how I found your journal, but I stumbled across your Dec. 29, 2005 entry and I've been back many times looking for some word from you.  I've thought about you so many times and hoped and prayed you were ok.  You look beautiful, Sweetie.  You've been through so much in less than 3 months.  I'm just so glad to see you.  Please continue to get strong and well.  You're always in my prayers.

I haven't been here in a really long time, but I am glad you are still hanging in there like a trooper!! I remember when you made a funny comment about calling this journal, Thoracic Park. I still think it is a good idea. Your story is a compelling one. If ever there was an example of courage at its best, I must say, you are it.
